  • New Zealand audiences had the opportunity to see the exhibition "The Polish Way to Freedom" - about the Solidarity movement and the development of democracy in Poland, which in 2009 was shown in Wellington, and in 2010 in Auckland.

     

    Twixt Land and Sea" - an exhibition on the life and works of Joseph Conrad Korzeniowski was shown in 2008 in Dunedin and in 2011 in Wellington.


    Also in 2011, during the Year of Czeslaw Milosz, a banner exhibition "Czeslaw Milosz. 100th anniversary of birth" was shown in Wellington. The display included the biography, photographs and selected poems of the Polish Nobel Prize winner.

     

    In 2015 - the year of Polish Theatre, the Polish Embassy in Wellington together with Galeria Plakatu in Krakow organised the Polish theatre poster exhibition featuring authors from the famous Polish Poster School.

    Also in 2015 a fashion designer from Poland, Ewelina Kosmal, was awarded in the popular World of Wearable Arts competition in Wellington.
